Grzegorz Ciechowski ("Citizen GC") was a famous Polish rock star who died prematurely in his forties. Featured here are his best tunes from the eighties arranged for the World's premiere string quartet - the Silesian Quartet, brilliantly arranged by another Polish super talent, Stefan Sendecki. The SACD was recorded in 6.0 surround and stereo in a seventeenth century church - the phenomenal acoustics of Old Town, Warsaw.

Mozart Piano Concertos

Stanislaw Drzewiecki, Tatiana Shebanova and Jaroslaw Drzewiecki - one of the greatest piano families performs triple, dual and single piano concertos. The orchestra Sinfonia Varsovia that regularly works under the artistic supervision of Nigel Kennedy, was led by German conductor Michael Zilm. All three concerts were recorded for SACD in one of the best acoustics in Europe, the Polish National Radio W. Lutoslawski's Concert Studio.

Vivaldi, The Four Seasons

Mariusz Patyra, the soloist, won the Paganini Competition in Genoa in 2001. He performs with the Warsaw Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra. The performance took place in the brilliant acoustics of the National Philharmonic in Warsaw, home to all of Chopin Piano Competitions. The original Italian sonnets, Vivaldi's inspiration for the music, and the phenomenal interpretation and voice of Stacy Keach contribute to its uniqueness.

Penderecki, Credo

Krzysztof Penderecki conducting his tremendous masterpiece during his 70th birthday gala concert in the thunderous acoustics of St. Jacek monastery in Warsaw’s Old Town. Over 300 performers contributed to the success of this recording: an oversized symphony orchestra, 3 choirs, 5 soloists and 9-winds, and a banda playing on a distant back balcony.

Gorecki, Symphony No. 3, "Symphony of Sorrowful Songs"

One the most famous classical music masterpieces ever written, conducted by the composer himself during his 70th birthday gala concert. A world premiere recording under composer’s direction for surround as well as stereo in gorgeous acoustics of an all-wooden Holy Cross Church situated in the composers hometown, Zakopane.

Kilar, Missa Pro Pace

Kazimierz Kord, a style setting conductor for a quarter of a century, of The National Philharmonic, Warsaw, conducts the most important work of F. Coppola’s and R. Polanski’s movies court composer. The performance and recording for surround and stereo took place in the composer’s hometown, Lviv, now Ukraine, which the composer never wanted to visit since World War II. Unbelievable interior and acoustics of the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Holy Virgin Mary contributes to the full symphony, choir and four soloists life-like live performance.
